Overview of the Scholarship:
The Killam Doctoral Scholarships Program assists outstanding international students pursuing Postgraduate studies at the University of British Columbia. The program is presented in collaboration with five Canadian universities and the Canada Council for the Arts, with the goal of promoting higher education and research.

The Killam Doctoral Scholarships Program provides complete scholarships to postgraduate (doctoral) students studying in a variety of subjects.
Scholarship value:
- The scholarship grants $30,000 each year for two years, as well as a $2,000 allowance for research-related travel fees.
- It also pays for the recipient’s tuition.

Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Killam Doctoral Scholarships Program:
- Applicants must have completed no more than 24 months of PhD education by the start date of the award.
- Applicants for the 2023-2024 competition must have completed no more than 24 months of PhD studies by September 1, 2023.
- International students are welcome to apply to the program.

Interested applicants should compete for the Affiliated Fellowships-Doctoral grant.
It is advised to apply as soon as possible.
The deadline for applications is September 1, 2023.
